Accessibility within open educational resources and practices for disabled learners: a systematic literature review
The systematic review revealed limited research on the accessibility of Open Educational Resources (OER) and Open Educational Practices (OEP) for disabled learners. While OER offer potential for inclusive learning, the review highlights a predominant focus on technical accessibility and a lack of attention towards assistive technologies. More research is needed to fully understand and address the accessibility challenges in OER and OEP, including empirical studies that investigate their effectiveness in enhancing learning outcomes for disabled students.
