Recent Progress on Polysaccharide-Based Hydrogels for Controlled Delivery of Therapeutic Biomolecules
This review summarizes recent progress in using polysaccharide-based hydrogels to deliver therapeutic biomolecules. Polysaccharides like alginate, chitosan, and hyaluronic acid can be formed into hydrogels that can protect biomolecules from degradation and control their release, making them promising drug delivery systems.
