About the amplification factors in organic bioelectronic sensors

This review compares organic bioelectronic transistors (EGOFETs and OECTs) to traditional electrochemical sensors for detecting biological molecules. It argues that organic transistors, by utilizing capacitive coupling and possibly current amplification, could offer greater sensitivity than electrochemical sensors, potentially enabling detection down to the zeptomolar range for certain analytes.
