Towards the Resilient Operator 5.0: The Future of Work in Smart Resilient Manufacturing Systems
The paper introduces the concept of the "Resilient Operator 5.0," a human operator empowered by technology to ensure manufacturing operations continuity and well-being in challenging conditions. It emphasizes the importance of both self-resilience (biological, physical, cognitive, and psychological) and system-resilience (adaptable human-machine systems) in achieving this goal. The paper argues that achieving worker resilience is crucial for building truly resilient manufacturing systems, particularly in the context of Industry 5.0.
